Our Story
Meet Ricky and Sheena Raval, the dynamic duo behind PinkWorm Recruitment. Ricky, a former Healthcare Recruitment Agency Founder, and Sheena, a former Strategy/Policy/Change Manager, came together with a shared vision to create a recruitment agency unlike any other. And thus, PinkWorm Recruitment was born.
With over 20 years combined recruitment sector experience, PinkWorm Recruitment was founded in 2018 with a trusted mac Book Air and bags of energy, enthusiam and passion to build a truly ‘People First’ recruitment, executive search and headhunting consultancy.
Ricky, the Founder of the company, is a self-proclaimed "worm whisperer" and has a knack for finding the best talent in the most unexpected places. He's the kind of guy who can strike up a conversation with anyone, whether it's a CEO or a street vendor, and always manages to make them laugh.
Sheena, the Chief Operating Officer, is the brains behind the operation. With over 15 years of experience in Strategy, Policy & Change Management, she really gets to understand what our partner companies are looking for in their next hire.
Sheena has a proven track record of success in building high performing teams, developing innovative recruitment and retention strategies, and delivering exceptional results for our clients.
She is passionate about creating and ensuring a positive and inclusive hiring process, and to ensuring PinkWorm Recruitment maintains its reputation for excellence.

I have always loved to learn about people. I love to hear their stories, where they have been, where they want to go and everything in between.
My passion to learn about others, careered me into the world of recruitment.
After working in agency roles for over a decade I founded Big Bear Recruitment in 2013, providing permanent healthcare staffing to the UKs private sector and supplied some of the largest healthcare organisations. The business was successfully acquired in 2017.
I then took some time out to reconnect and reenergise with my young family, travelling across South-East Asia covering Thailand, Kuala Lumpar, Bali and Cambodia during the summer of 2017.
During our travels, I was struck by the incredible diversity of cultures and experiences we encountered. I saw first-hand how important it was for people to find meaningful work that allowed them to support themselves and their families. Inspired by these vivid experiences, I realized I wanted to continue to make a positive impact by helping others find their own paths to success.
With this goal in mind, PinkWorm Recruitment was founded in 2018.
As we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic had a profound impact on the global economy, and the recruitment industry was no exception. At PinkWorm Recruitment, we faced unprecedented challenges as our clients put hiring on hold and our team members had to swiftly adapt to remote work.
However, I am proud to say that we rose to the challenge and emerged from the pandemic stronger than ever. We quickly pivoted to virtual recruitment, leveraging technology to connect with candidates and clients in new and innovative ways. We also doubled down on our commitment to building strong relationships, providing support and guidance to both job seekers and employers during this difficult time.
Now, as we look to the future, I am thrilled to see PinkWorm Recruitment thriving year on year. Our team is stronger and more resilient than ever. We have continued to innovate and invest in our technology and processes, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the recruitment industry.

Hi there! I'm the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of PinkWorm Recruitment. Before I made the huge leap into the world of recruitment, I spent over 15 years working in strategy, policy, and change management in government.
Whilst I loved my work in government, I knew that I was ready for a new challenge. I wanted to use my expertise in strategy and change management to make a positive impact in people’s lives.
Returning from a summer of travels across South East Asia with our young family, my partner Ricky suggested we would make a great partnership in business too, and I’m proud to say he was totally right!
As the COO of PinkWorm Recruitment, I'm responsible for overseeing the recruitment process and ensuring that every candidate and client receives the highest level of service. I'm passionate about building strong relationships with both clients and candidates, and I work tirelessly to ensure that everyone we work with feels absolutely valued and supported.
We believe that everyone deserves a fair and equitable chance to succeed, regardless of their background or identity. That's why I have championed initiatives to ensure that our recruitment processes are fair and equitable for all candidates regardless of their background or identity. We don’t just say we are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. We do it.
I am and have always been passionate about education and good quality and accessible education for all. Recruiting across the education technology landscape since 2018 I find this growing sector both fascinating and absolutely necessary. I am also a co-opted Parent Governor at our children’s school which gives me the opportunity to input and shape our young learners journey, and also contribute to our local school community.
I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an amazing team at PinkWorm Recruitment. Every day is different. `I love the challenge of finding the best of the best, the needle in the haystack!
Zizu
The Office Pom
Meet Zizou (fondly known as Zi, Zuzu, Gigi or Booboo), our Office Pomeranian.
Zizou's name was inspired by the famous retired French footballer, Zinedine Zidane, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. We chose to name him after such an accomplished athlete as both Zinedine Zidane and Zizou are well-loved and bring joy to their fans
Zi is a beloved member of our team and serves as our official office mascot. He is well known for his beautiful fluffy coat, perky ears, and playful personality. He greets everyone who walks into the office with a wagging tail and a friendly yap!
Zi’s office duties at PinkWorm Recruitment include boosting morale, providing stress relief, and serving as a source of entertainment. He can often be found snoozing in the corner or chewing on his favourite toys. Zi loves a treat or five and getting plenty of belly rubs.
We are so grateful to have Zi around our office - he reminds us to take breaks and enjoy the simple things in life.
